I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Tuesday morning, the 9th of September, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Book of Psalms 118:22:”The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.” Then we go to the Gospel of Matthew 21:42: “Have you never read in the Scriptures” (Jesus said) “the stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.” Jesus is the cornerstone in our lives. Without Him, we will not stand. When you build a house or any building, look at any builder, he will always put up the corners first and then fill in the flat walls joining to the corners. If he tries to build a flat wall first, it will fall over. It cannot stand. Jesus is our chief cornerstone!I looked up the Oxford dictionary to find out the literal meaning of the word, “cornerstone”, and this is what it says: a stone that forms the base of a corner of a building joining two walls. Another explanation is: an important quality or feature on which something is based. If your faith is not based on Jesus Christ, it will not stand, it will fall and that is a fact.Your marriage, young lady, young man. If Jesus Christ is not going to be the cornerstone of your marriage, it will fall over, it will not last. Your future, young person, if it’s not based on the Chief Cornerstone, which is Jesus Christ it will fail. It will be rejected, it will fall, because as soon as the winds come, the tribulation, the hardship, the stress, the blood, the sweat, the tears  - as soon as that comes, it will collapse if it is not based on a strong cornerstone which is Jesus Christ.Today, make Him the cornerstone of everything you do.
