THOMASVI L LE — About 40 employees of Crowne HealthCare of Thomasville took part in active shooter training sessions on Oct. 7. The nursing home hosted two sessions, led by Thomasville Police Department representatives Jamarcus Robinson and Adam Ballard, focusing on how to respond effectively in an active shooter situation with an emphasis on keeping staff and residents safe, business administrator Diane Gatlin said. “Our environment is a little different because we have residents who depend on us for their safety,” Gatlin said. “It’s important that our staff know how to react and protect themselves and others.” Officers reviewed the...Article Link
