Annual Pioneer Day is scheduled Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Clarke County Historical Museum in Grove Hill. Many interactive demonstrations will give us a glimpse into our shared histories including: pewter spoons, chair caning, rope making, butter churning, candle dipping, Indian beading and games, salt making, quill writing, blacksmithing, clothes washing, pottery, finger weaving, cracklins, dough bowls, soap making, Indian weaving, corn shelling, shingle making, Hudson forge, copper works, bobbing lace, reed baskets, pine needle baskets and tatting.
