77% of Gen Z views the manufacturing sector more positively now than pre-COVID-19, according to a recent survey conducted by Parsable, an enterprise, cloud-based software company offering digital tools designed to enhance industrial productivity, safety, and quality. “You've read a lot of headlines about automation and robots taking over. But the reality is very, very different,” says Parsable CEO and this week’s guest Lawrence Whittle. “There are tremendous labor shortages. And clearly, one of the biggest available [labor] pools that’s available is Generation Z.” Whittle joins podcast host Cathy Ma to discuss the survey’s major takeaways and how its results could improve recruitment initiatives across the industrial sector in light of current labor shortages.
