A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. While we didn't necessarily need an Uncharted movie, we're not complaining! It's a greatest hits album of beloved treasure hunter Nathan Drake but before he was beloved and before Sully grew out that beautiful mustache. It falls flat in many ways. But just like Drake leaping across a bottomless abyss and narrowly grasping that clearly marked yellow railing, it somehow manages to get at the heart of what made the video games it's based on great. It's nowhere near the masterwork that those Naughty Dog classics are, but it's got jokes and an absurd yet wildly entertaining finale.
