Listen "Theological Method: Scripture"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode, we examine the first source of theology in my Theological Method: Scripture. We examine, firstly, the historical development of the canon(s) of Scripture that we have today, from the early church, all the way up to Martin Luther in the Reformation. We then take a look at what Scripture is in two parts: its Historical nature, and its Theological nature, looking at different topics such as what it means for Scripture to be understood in light of its Historical context (who, what, when, where, why, how, etc.) to what it means for Scripture to be the "word of God" and "inerrant and infallible". Finally, I explain where exactly I put Scripture in my Theological Method, and my reasoning for putting it there. Join us, in the continuing exploration of the much neglected Theological Treasury.
