Listen "E41 Anglo-Saxons III: Culture!"
Episode Synopsis
Episode Notes
The culture of the Anglo-Saxons at its apogee produced artistic, scholarly, literary and martial achievements that were recognized throughout Northern Europe and much of the Continent...and even though J.R.R. Tolkien never explicitly said that the Riders of Rohan were Anglo-Saxons on horses, you can tell. Join Ken and Glen as they discuss the rich Anglo-Saxon culture that died when King Harold II died defending the land of the English from the Bastard Norman William. Any mention of Tolkien is purely coincidental.
