Listen "Janie Lunn: Part 2- Covid-19 & The Peace Corps Evacuation"
Episode Synopsis
On this 2 part series of Thee CrazyFaceUno Podcast we welcome Janie Lunn. Nearly a year ago Janie started serving in the Peace Corps; she was located in Uganda, Africa. Unfortunately, her time with the Peace Corps was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In Janie Lunn: Part 2, we talk about the process of evacuating from where she was stationed in Lira, Uganda. Janie was evacuated on a moments notice, leaving her friends and new found family without being able to say goodbye. On top of that she had to leave her dog, Bindi, with a vet in Kampala and is working hard to get her little fur baby home to her. You can support the financial efforts to bring Bindi home by going to gofundme.com and searching "Bring Bindi Home." Janie is a fantastic person, with a huge heart for helping others and she has been through a lot over the last year; particularly over the last couple months. It was such a pleasure to get to speak to her about her experiences over the last year in the Peace Corps and you wont want to miss out. Enjoy!
