Growing up, I never quite understood Palm Sunday, Lent or Pentecost, as with several of the religious celebrations that we had. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the festivities that came with it but missed out on the reason for the season.However as I have grown, I have come to see just how important it is to understand why we gather - or should I say who we gather for especially when it comes to Easter and the period before it. It’s a sacred observation but one that should move from being a thing we are mindful of for a few days unto something that transcends counting down.
