Including this exercise can be highly beneficial in improving strength and grow muscle in the hamstrings and glutes. Coach Julio applies his experience as a former collegiate athlete and personal trainer to discuss some of the benefits of the deadlift, as well as important information you should know before adding it into your training program.  
NOTE: If you're prone to back injuries, make sure you get cleared by your doctor, first, and seriously consider working with a physical therapist. Also, it is highly recommended that you hire an experienced and qualified personal trainer to teach you good deadlift technique.
