Music, it is a way we hear news, it is a way to relax, it is a way to let go of things. But did you know that the artists are telling a true story where it is based on them or not. In this examination I look at the reasoning behind the usage of lyrics in some songs and the characteristics of the artist. In order to achieve this I first began with watching Jay-Z´s video on ¨Rap is Poetry¨ which helped me understand the project more. He mentioned how ¨there is thought behind it and great writing in rap¨. In addition I did in fact look at the lyrics of the songs I analyzed to figure out if there were any specific phrases that I noticed were meant to be heard. This podcast aims to encourage you to listen closely at the songs you listen to next time.
