This week, Former Super League Referee Ian Smith joins me this week to discuss his career and new book The Final Whistle. Ian has recently wrote a book about his career and being a ref in the Super League, we discuss why he.s now decided to bring out a book and how he felt writing it. We also chat about how he started as a ref, his first game in the Super League and the last game between Hull and Leeds. He tells us about the 2 charities the profits from the book is going too and his work with the RFL. Ian discusses the great matches he got to ref such as plenty of Wigan vs Saints derbies and sadly a few comeback wins for the Saints over the Wire. We also find out who the best player he saw in action and what his thoughts were on the old Wilderspool ground.
