Christians excel at pointing out when the world doesn't meet the same moral code we believe Christ has called us to live. Whether that, in and of itself, is a problem could be a subject for discussion, but is it appropriate to make sure the world KNOWS how upset we are at their heathen ways? The Pharisees did exactly that and Christ was quick to call them out for forgetting what God had instructed them. Grace and mercy are not exclusive to the New Testament; the entire history of God's chosen people is a history of grace and forgiveness. The Pharisees forgot that and many Christians today seem to have forgotten it as well.
