Send us a textThe righteous remnant in Babylonian captivity know that God is about to deliver them from their 70 years of bondage. Yet in spite of their knowledge and faith, God commands them in the strongest of terms to wake up. Why? Because our tendency is to sleep. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.The righteous remnant of today knows according to the scriptures that the return of Christ is at hand. We eagerly anticipate His return. Yet this command applies to us as well. We need to wake up and live for Jesus knowing that His return is truly imminent.Romans 13:11-14 puts it best. And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkeness, not in in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.
