Send us a textWe are now presented with the first of four Servant songs in Isaiah. These songs refer to God's Messiah, Jesus. In this first song we are first presented with the character of His Servant.  God's Servant, although powerful beyond description, he has a matchless tenderness. He displays great humility in His ministry. And finally, He is just. He possesses a righteous justice. A justice brought forth for truth. A justice that will be known and established throughout His eternal kingdom.Once we know that character of God's servant, we are then shown how He will fulfill the ministry that He has been called to. It is all done in the power of the LORD. It is all done according to God's word.Do we have the character of Christ? We will never be able to do the work of Christ if we do not have the character of Christ. When we have the character of Christ we know the call of God on our lives. We also know that God's call can only be accomplished God's way. Everything we do in the name of Christ must be done in obedience to His word. Furthermore, it must all be done to His praise and His glory.May we all have the character of Christ.
