Send us a textThis fifth woe is a continuation of the fourth woe. Judah has put their trust in the wisdom and military might of Egypt rather than in God. The wisdom and might of Egypt is less than zero before God. How sad that Judah would refuse to put their trust in God who cannot fail and place their trust in Egypt who can only fail. Sadly, both Judah who sought ungodly help will perish as will Egypt who offered to help.We are so guilty of the same when we make alliances with the world and place our trust in worldly wisdom. How often do we rely on the power and might of man? How sad that a professed follower of Jesus would do such a thing. Disaster is the absolute outcome of all those who place their trust in human wisdom and strength rather than God.In spite of Judah's grave transgression, God will keep His word and preserve them. He will preserve them without the use of human vessels. His protection and deliverance of Judah will be miraculous.  Only God will get the glory. In light of God's faithfulness and the future promise of His kingdom to be ruled by His anointed Messiah, God is calling on Judah to repent. It is the only reasonable response. For us today, to be able to look back on God's faithfulness through the sureness of His word in the countless fulfilled prophesies that we have already seen, we all have every reason to live obedient, faithful, godly lives in Christ Jesus.Contact Paul at [email protected] Sunday May 5th, we have changed locations and will meet on Sundays at 10 am.
