Listen "Going From Being Alone to Making Your Own Community: Conversations About Mental Health with Sydney Moondra"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode we talk to Sydney Moondra, CEO and founder of Dil to Dil. Together, we talk about the stigma behind mental health in South-Asian communities. Sydney shares her story about going from her own mental health struggles to creating a transformational community called Dil to Dil, a nonprofit organization aimed at deconstructing the stigma around mental health in South Asian communities through heart-to-heart conversations. Sydney talks about how these types of heartfelt conversations that she had with her friends in her dorm room really helped her fight mental health struggles and wanted to create a space for anyone to have such conversations. We talk about navigating tough conversations with your family and why mental health is so important. Come join us as we talk to Sydney about the mental health community she has created and how that has helped people open up about their struggles and receive support!Dil to Dil Resources: Dil to Dil Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dil.to.dil Dil to Dil website: https://www.diltodil.org/ Sydney's TedTalk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UKLslsK_go
