Listen "Jeanie LoVetri: Somatic Voicework™"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode, we have a conversation with Jeanie LoVetri, creator of Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method. She is one of the most recognized singing teachers in the world and has taught world wide as an expert in Contemporary Commercial Music. That term, CCM, was created by Ms. LoVetri in 2000 to replace the term “non-classical” and is now in accepted use in academia, research, medical and clinical journals. Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method is a body-based method of vocal training which draws from many disciplines. It is based upon voice science and medicine as well as traditional classical vocal training, complementary modalities such as yoga, movement, dance, acting, and speech training, and various bodywork approaches. Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method is meant to unselfconsciously draw the mind of the singer into the physical process of making sound.Interested in supporting The Visceral Voice podcast?
