Listen "The Walking Dead"
Episode Synopsis
Send us a textWhen I look at some social media posts, watch some church services online & even listen to how Christians communicate, it leaves very little to the imagination as to why we see the body of Christ as powerless as it is in these last days. You may think that I have no love for the church because I keep picking on them & pointing out her faults. It’s the exact opposite, really. If I didn’t love God’s bride, the church, I wouldn’t bother wasting my time with these podcasts. We need to understand that two thirds of the Bible is correction. The early church was an extension of the Ministry of Jesus on the earth and when we read in the book of Acts we see that happening. The modern church is to be an extension of the very same thing, but today’s church is far from being as impactful as it was called to be. As a matter of fact we are seeing the church becoming more like the world. A lot of churches today don’t see a need for people to repent, turn from their sin & enter into an intimate relationship with God through Christ. We have lowered the bar from that which Christ has set high expectations for His people. In one of my previous podcasts, The Liberal Christian, I make this point very clear. Today churches are using worldly style entertainment in an attempt to bring in the lost at the expense of a genuine move of God. A genuine move of God is preceded ONLY by prayer & repentance. By those who have, or are, crucifying the flesh. In today’s podcast I discuss the walking dead in this 21st episode of The VINE.This is a message to wake up the church. It's NOT a message of condemnation. In His love,Pastor Shawn
