Listen "Ep 2 – What Is Baptism?"
Episode Synopsis
Episode 2
Often the discussion about baptism is more centered on what baptism is not instead of on what baptism is. This episode is meant to provide an over-arching biblical concept of the rich and beautiful nature of baptism. This would be a good episode to suggest to someone who is thinking about being baptized and would like to know more about why they are going to take the shortest bath ever. I purposefully side-step the doctrine particulars that churches often debate over, such as sprinkling vs. immersion, does someone need to be baptized to be saved, is infant baptism () a valid practice, baptism of the Holy Spirit, and so on. I skip these because I do not want to take away from the positive description of the redemptive work that baptism contains.
