We’re talking to Roland Dane on the V8 Sleuth Podcast powered by Repco. We open the first part of our two-part chat getting the rundown on the new era at Triple Eight Race Engineering following the changes in ownership and management over the past 24 months, headlined by his stepping out of the Managing Director and Team Principal roles. Dane then rewinds back to his early years in business and motorsport in England and Triple Eight’s time in the British Touring Car Championship and Super Touring, which led to his first visit to the Bathurst 1000 in the late 1990s with Peter Brock driving. He also talks about moving to Australia and establishing Triple Eight in V8 Supercars in 2003 and securing Craig Lowndes’ signature one year later – as well as his Australian ancestory!
