Listen "Isaiya Katoa talks rep eligibility, NSW camp, playing Union and life at the Dolphins"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode of Unscripted, Josh Mansour sits down with rising NRL star and Dolphin’s halfback Isaiya Katoa. Born in New Zealand to Tongan and Cook Islander heritage, Katoa opens up about the complexities of international eligibility and what representing his roots means to him. He reflects on his time in Blues Origin camp, sharing what it was like training alongside Nathan Cleary and soaking up the intensity of the elite environment. Katoa also takes us back to his days at Barker College, where he attended on a rugby union scholarship, and how that shaped his path to league. He speaks candidly about his relationship with legendary coach Wayne Bennett, the transition to working under Kristian Woolf, and how his time at the Dolphins has pushed him to grow both as a player and a person.
