Listen "Alex Woodward: "Hardship & Silverlinings” #3 - The Unlaced Podcast with Jake Barker-Daish"
Episode Synopsis
Alex Woodward's journey is one of the most unique and inspiring a person can come across. After being drafted to Hawthorn in the AFL in 2011 at pick 53, Alex had the world at his feet. What Alex would go on to endure over the next 7 years is beyond words. After rupturing his ACL 5 times following being drafted and managing only a handful of AFL games, Alex made the choice to retire at the age of 27. You'd think such terrifying outcomes could break a person, but not Alex. I think it's safe to say these incredibly harsh experiences have made Alex one of the most inspiring, resilient and admirable characters that we can all learn from.
