Today's Passage: John 1:39-42 He said to them, “Come and you will see.” So they came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day, for it was about the tenth hour. One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means Christ). He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of John. You shall be called Cephas” (which means Peter).Today's Prayer: Jesus, you are our Messiah. Our Christ.The promised one that was spoken of from long ago.You are our rescuer, the one that has promised to bring us out of darkness and into light.You are the anointed one. The one set apart from the very beginning to be the one who delivers us to a new Home. Your Kingdom coming. Jesus. Help us, this Advent season, to know without doubt, that you are the one that the prophets spoke of long ago. Help us to believe that there is no other way but following you.The Messiah.
