Dave has been mountain biking since the mid-1980s and has ridden and raced his bike on trails all over the world. He has been involved in trial advocacy from the beginning and was the founder and executive director of Gunnison Trails, and race director for the Gunnison Growler. A member of the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame, Dave also created and leads the Mountain Sports program at Western State Colorado University. He joined the IMBA board of directors in 2016 as its chairman and was named IMBA’s executive director in spring 2017.
