In 2021 he was awarded Albuquerque's Top Rheumatologist by ABQ Magazine Top Doc awards, as voted by his medical peers.Dr. Stermer completed his Internal Medicine residency at the NYU Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
