Sometimes I really don't understand what makes people tick. I'm on a bit of a rant about an opportunity for business owners and wondering why you discard international business. What stops you from business travel outside the U.S.? Is your business doing so well, that you don't need new customers?
Imagine you wanted to open a new market. You don't want to travel for fear of the unknown, so you hire a rep to go there for you. How much would that cost? Thousands of dollars in consulting, plus all travel expenses. How about all the research your rep will have to do before they go?
What if you went, met people in-person, built relationships and could do it all for much less? Why wouldn't you go. This is what I don't get. According to research a face to face request is 34% more successful than email.
