Machiavelli seems to advocate the idea of "The Ends Justify the Means." But what does that mean and is it a good principle for life? Well, because it is a form of virtue signaling, probably not. If individuals are engaged in virtue signaling, then we don't really need to be concerned about what they are doing. But when a government engages in virtue signaling, then we have global problems not solutions. I think the world can do with a lot less virtue signaling and more freedom.
