There is a TON of conflicting advice out there about what diet is best: low calorie, low-carb, Paleo, Keto, Mediterranean, Pegan . . . But, knowing how to lose weight is NOT the real issue. Dieting for weight loss has been found to lead to future weight gain. So unless we learn how to maintain a healthy lifestyle, the unwanted weight will just come back. The key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle is to keep making small changes until they become your new daily habits. This is not just about what you eat, but also your thoughts, your self-talk, your activity level, how you manage stress, and your relationships. In Part 1 of this two-part series we’ll lay the foundation for creating a healthy lifestyle, then in Part 2, we’ll talk about what foods to eat.
