You may wonder what the benefit of doing shadow work is if you have been on a long healing journey. Well, it may surprise you to realize that healing the shadow is how you are able to transmute dark energies to light... but only after you are able to integrate the knowledge. Integration of knowledge is the process of extracting whatever could be learned from your experiences, especially from deep suffering for it is at the other end of the spectrum from dark to light. When you extract what you have learned, you have filtered out what is valuable and what can be released and in doing so, are able to finally let go. The knowledge you have gained becomes part of you, part of the light. This is integration. You have successfully transmuted dark to light and you expand in consciousness.
