Maturity, Integrity and UnityEphesians 4:13-16Paul has been reminding the Ephesians of the wonderful gifts that the risen and exalted Christ has given to the church, Grace and Growth and the precious Holy Spirit of God Himself. Being a believer, a member of the Body of Christ, is to KNOW Jesus, to have met him, and trusted him, and at the same time to BELIEVE in him, which will require a basic understanding of Christian teaching. So Paul insists that Jesus has given gifts to his church, through the Holy Spirit, for this reason: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, Paul is referring to our spiritual growth, as a result of Christ’s gracious gifts to his church.
