Welcome to the very first episode of the brand new podcast, The Self Care Unit! This podcast will explore all things mental health and healthcare and tackle the issues as we see them in the nursing and greater healthcare fields!
The Self Care Unit comes from the combined strength of Don’t Clock Out and Operation Happy Nurse, two organizations dedicated to advocating for nurses and healthcare worker mental health. They both provide support and give resources to help with the mental health issues that frequently arise in the healthcare community.
In this opening episode of our partnership, we learn about the two organizations, how they came together, explain how the podcast episodes will work, and introduce the two regular hosts, the lovely Carley and Sarah!
