Social Media has long been known to cause anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and feelings of isolation and loneliness. TikTok in particular, a short-video app, is responsible for the development of nervous tics, Tourette’s syndrome, and emotional, sometimes violent, outbursts. TikTok is furthermore known to collect and store mass amounts of intimate data. Considering the app is run by a hostile foreign government, it is certainly a direct threat to national security, and the mental and physical development of those who use it obsessively.
