Listen "Does Prophethood Continue After Mohammed?"
Episode Synopsis
In the upcoming episode, our special guest Onur joins our master Aba Al-Sadiq (fhip) as they delve into the concept of prophethood and explore whether such a figure could exist in the present day. Across Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, there's a shared understanding of a prophet—someone who communicates with God and angels, possesses knowledge of the future, and guides humanity. While Judaism, despite not having experienced a prophet since exile, doesn't rule out the possibility of prophets being sent, Christianity, with the belief in God's incarnation on Earth, does explicitly address the continuation of prophethood. There are Bible verses where Jesus himself declares that he will send prophets. However, this aspect seems to be overlooked by mainstream interpretations. As for Islam, the general belief is that prophethood concluded with Prophet Mohammed (PBUHAF). However, the episode will examine intriguing indications, such as the persistence of true dreams, which are considered a part of prophethood. Could these clues lead us to the notion that a benevolent deity would not leave humanity without guidance in every era? Join us for an insightful exploration of this thought-provoking topic. 🙏 May the peace and blessings of God be upon you all.
