Episode Synopsis

Send us a textTeaching is the art of serving, loving, and nurturing students so that they can become everything they were meant to be. Teachers have the biggest impact on children outside of their parents. And today’s guest had such an impact on my life. Mary Wolling taught for decades, spanning multiple states and touching the lives of thousands. I met her as my first grade teacher at Jubilee Christian School back in 1992. The school was so small that classes were combined, and Mary ended up teaching me for grades 2, 5 and 6 as well. Outside of my parents, I can’t think of another adult who had a larger role in my personal and spiritual development. So it was exciting for me to be a part of today’s episode as the crew here at the Scattered Seeds Podcast got to explore Mary’s life and faith journey. So join Tom, Nate and Mary as they discuss teaching, Rick Wolling, and even Mary’s Puritan roots. But first an announcement: A past guest on our show, Dr. Carl Trueman will be coming to Beverly Heights this fall for the first ever Scattered Seeds Symposium. Stay tuned for more details about how you can see Dr. Truman as he discusses his newest book: The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self.Welcome back to the Scattered Seeds Podcast, where every life, has a story.Support the show
