Without round the clock monitoring those with this illness can quickly slip into comas and ultimately pass away within a few short hours. Families with this illness often sacrifice energy, relationships and rest to make sure that their loved ones are healthy and survive something as mundane as a full night of sleep. Chira Cratsley is the mother of not one but two children with this rare condition. She and her husband have spent years sleeping in two-hour shifts while working full time and caring for all four of their children. They have lived through hospital trips, misdiagnosis and more and yet Chira’s faith is rock solid and her story isn’t one of tragedy. It’s a story of Miracles.
