Listen "2.1 Silent Exodus"
Episode Synopsis
English speaking ministries (EM's) and immigrant churches have had trouble finding ways to thrive together for various reasons. Many of these EM's have left the 1st generation churches, a trend that Helen Lee coined a "silent exodus." Wilson Wang, Jenna Fu, and Roy Kim share some of their own EM experiences. They discuss mixed feelings such as "It's so nice to belong here with a village of aunties and uncles" as well as "How do we belong where there's so much condescension and heresy?" As always, we hope that something you hear helps you feel like you're not alone, that there are others in the same boat as you.
