From her TEDx talk 'Neuroscience of Device Zombies': As a Neuroscience trainer, Kathryn is apprehensively watching for the dawning of the device-zombie-apocalypse. She is concerned about society's willingness to allow young people’s brains to be so heavily exposed to addictive and possibly damaging, screen based technology.Kathryn has dedicated 22 years to understanding how extreme trauma impacts the developing brain. We chat about screen time, how it affects young children, adolescents and adults and what we can do to keep in control of its influence.
