Since its creation in July 2011, Kodiak has grown through a series of 40 acquisitions and three business launches along with extensive organic growth of its operating companies. With a decentralized and entrepreneurial culture, Kodiak was honored with a spot on the Inc. 5000 list for the past five years along with being recognized as the largest Colorado-based company to earn that distinction. In 2022, Steve was selected as a winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for his entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth, and impact on the region's business landscape. In 2023, Steve was recognized as a ColoradoBiz Magazine CEO of the Year finalist and Denver Business Journal Most Admired CEO. In his free time, Steve enjoys spending time with family, skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking in the Colorado mountains.
