For the first time that we can remember, Star Trek's past intersects with our present in a very real way and highlights many issues that we still continue to struggle with today. Sisko, Dax and Bashir are accidentally sent back in time while attempting to beam down to San Fransisco to attend a Starfleet symposium. They arrive in San Fransisco however it's not the time they expected.
