Above all, it is from this blessed and virginal union that the Holy Carpenter of Nazareth is able to embrace Jesus and to minister unto Him. There are two moments in Joseph's union with Mary: a first official betrothal and the final cohabitation, which took place after the instructions of the Angel: "Do not be afraid to take Mary as your spouse."
