Gabe talks about how as a youth he knew that we was going to be a pro surfer, and his Dad telling him, that he needed a plan B, but there never was a plan B. He reveals that the first few years as a pro, he enjoyed traveling and making friends surfing, and didn't start getting serious about contest until he got a little bit more clear headed in his mid 20's.  He tells us about falling off tour and how he made it back on to the WCT.
