Listen "Nick Westfall Interview"

Episode Synopsis

I'm not pulling your leg when I say that I had the honor and the privilege to speak with Nick Westfall this morning. I met Nick a few years ago at a film makers meetup place where I was asking people to help promote the quadrant model. Nick is really the only guy there who has offered any assistance. He got me in touch with his friend who gave me good advice with the quadrant model. Recently after I unhid my YouTube lectures from 2013 in 2020, his friend told me to make transcripts of my YouTube videos, and that's what I did and I made those into books. You can check those books out at quadrantmodelofreality.tumblr.com. Nick and I both have a lot in common. We both played college basketball. He played college basketball in North Carolina. We both Coached high school level basketball. In 2013 I coached a JV basketball team while I lived in Kauai. Nick currently Coaches volleyball teams, and Nick is also a fervent volleyball player. Also we both have been learning passionately. Nick currently is on a curriculum where he reads or listens to a book or audiobook a day I believe, as Tai Lopez recommended to do. In this talk Nick and I discuss Carol Dweck's book Growth Mindset, Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers, Angela Duckworth's Grit and other topics. I look forward to talking with Nick again. We were short on time because Nick is also a teacher and he needs to be at his school to teach at nine oclock, I think, and I held him up a little bit because we ran a little overtime during this interview. Next time we speak I want to ask him more about the movies he is making. Nick also is passionate about philosophy so I want to learn more about what he is learning in philosophy. Talking with this guy is truly inspirational and I want to learn more about his life and what he is doing, hopefully in our next conversation
