Preaching in any context is a mixture of science and art - - or perhaps content and context. The content/science does not change - but how do we handle differences in context and culture when presenting the gospel.BIOFrom 2010 until the time of his election, Rev. Rhodes served as Lead Pastor of Abundant Life Community Church in Alton, Illinois. During that time, he also served as a member of the Illinois District Executive Presbytery. From 2000 to 2010, Roy served as Lead Pastor of Cross Point Assembly of God in Paola, Kansas. Prior to his Lead Pastorates, he served the Arkansas District in the District Youth Director’s office. Rev. Rhodes holds a Bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University, a Master of Arts from Southeastern University, a Master of Divinity from the Harrison Graduate School of Southwestern University, and is a recent a Doctoral graduate from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
