Members of the covenant community are to love, be kind and bear with one another Jn 17.17, Eph 4.32, Col 3.13, instead of biting and devouring one another Gal 5.15


III. Faithless to God (vv. 11-12, 17)

By offering polluted offerings to the LORD
By marrying the daughters of foreign god
By being cynical to God’s word


IV. Faithless to the wife of your youth (vv. 13-16)

Seek to divorce their wives to marry the daughter of foreign god
Seek to rewrite the creation ordinance of marriage


V. Conclusion

Repent from your faithlessness Jer 3.22-23
Resolve to serve the Lord faithfully Matt 25.21
Rejoice in our God who is faithful 2 Tim 2.13
