Hailing from Senegal, H.E. Bineta Diop is the Special Envoy of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission on Women, Peace, and Security. She has devoted her life to championing peace and advancing women’s rights across Africa. Her Excellency has played a pivotal role in shaping foundational treaties on women’s rights, led impactful peace-building initiatives, coordinated electoral observation teams, and facilitated critical women’s peace dialogues across the continent.
