Ruby Ricks earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Morris College. She had a feeling that service was the career path she would follow. She loved two fields of study – social work and nursing. Fortunately, she was able to do both; when she retired from a career as a social worker, she returned to school and earned her Registered Nurse Diploma from the Nursing School at Florence-Darlington Technical College. Ruby shares what she has learned from her careers in the fields that called her to serve as a youngster.
