Concerning ForgivenessMatthew 6:14-15 ESVSince losing salvation is not an option, Jesus must have been talking about some other loss. I am completely convinced that what He is talking about is relational forgiveness, losing closeness with God. We grieve the Holy Spirit and lose closeness with our heavenly father. Refusing to forgive someone is not a mirror reflecting the glory and truth of what He wants others to see. We are reflecting His glory and sharing the light of truth with the world. We must forgive sins against us in order that they may understand that their sins against God can also be forgiven.  The teaching really is that simple. ·       Forgive others and God will stay close to you.·       Refuse to forgive and God will not be close to you.  Understand what keeps you from forgiving others.·       Pride ·       Revenge ·       Hurt ·       Or maybe you haven’t been forgiven and don’t know how.
