When a relationship ends, you either become an ex or an expat. You are either completely forgotten or completely unforgettable. You are either talked about as, “we are still friends,” or, “hiyo mbwa hata afadhali igongwe na train ya cargo, yenye imebeba mbolea ya kupanda miwa Mumias. Alafu ndovu nono imekanyage.” When that is said about you, you are an ex.

An expat is a person that can shake a former relationship. You know like that Kakamega guy that went back to his old marriage and the reigning husband had to leave.

That is what expat relationships are about, you have experience to work even in foreign relationships. Foreign because you have been away for some time.

On this episode we asked ourselves, would you go back to your ex? Are you an expat or an ex in a former relationship? Our experiences were hilarious.

Eddy, confessed that he has no ex. So, if you are out there thinking you are his ex, you are not. He is an expat in that your new relationship. And he can shake it.

Brian, went back to an ex once because in Akothee's words, no romance without finance or in his own words, no finance without romance, and the relationship he wanted to be an ex relationship was his bread and butter, so he went back because he needed to survive. The need for survival is greater than your ego and the urge to prove who was right and who was not.
