Before, during & after my Memory Walk for Alzheimer’s society. 
My Dad passed away nearly a year ago now, 30th April 2020. He suffered with Parkinson’s and Dementia. We are still yet to have had the opportunity to celebrate his life with a wake. I’ve found the last year unbearable at many points, the only thing that is keeping me going is unfortunately the person I’ve lost. My hero, my Dad. He is still in my ear telling me not to give up, reminding me I have the strength to continue and keep pushing but I can’t stop the pain and the heartache but I can use that to push me to be the best version of myself and to give back and help causes like this support people in the future directly affected by this issue. 
A week before the walk unfortunately my Grandma passed as well, the queen of the family who also faced the challenge of vascular dementia so as the days creeped closer it became more and more important.
